You should normally hold a good honours degree in any subject, or a professional qualification deemed to be of equivalent standing.

Or

Significant management experience and a substantial record of achievement. Candidates meeting this criteria may not have previously studied at university.

In addition to graduate status, part-time students will be expected to have a level of work experience. The evidence will be assessed on an individual basis and should be supported by employer references.

Students should produce copies of certificates, full CVs preferably in EuroFormat, and passport-size photos.

Module 1: Introduction to Entrepreneurship
This module provides an overview of entrepreneurship, including the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs and the different types of ventures. Students will learn about the entrepreneurial mindset, the process of identifying opportunities, and the initial steps to start a business. The module also covers the role of entrepreneurship in economic development.

Module 2: Business Idea Generation and Validation
In this module, students will learn how to generate and evaluate business ideas. The module covers techniques for creativity and innovation, market research, and the use of tools like SWOT analysis for idea validation. Students will also learn how to assess market needs and customer problems to create viable business solutions.

Module 3: Business Planning and Strategy
This module focuses on developing a comprehensive business plan, including the vision, mission, and strategic objectives of a new venture. Students will learn about different business models, competitive analysis, and strategic planning. The module also covers the creation of financial projections and funding strategies for startups.

Module 4: Marketing and Sales Strategies
Students will learn the fundamentals of marketing and sales for new ventures in this module. Topics include market segmentation, branding, digital marketing, and customer acquisition strategies. The module emphasizes the importance of building a strong value proposition and effective go-to-market strategies.

Module 5: Innovation and Design Thinking
This module introduces the principles of innovation and design thinking. Students will learn how to foster innovation within an organization, develop creative solutions to business challenges, and use design thinking methodologies to empathize with customers and create innovative products and services.

Module 6: Financial Management for Entrepreneurs
In this module, students will explore the financial aspects of running a business, including budgeting, cash flow management, and financial forecasting. The module covers various funding options, such as venture capital, angel investing, and crowdfunding. Students will also learn how to manage financial risks and ensure the financial sustainability of their ventures.

Module 7: Leadership and Team Building in Startups
This module focuses on the leadership skills required to build and manage a startup team. Students will learn about team dynamics, leadership styles, and the challenges of leading a growing organization. The module also covers strategies for recruiting, motivating, and retaining top talent in a startup environment.

Module 8: Legal and Ethical Considerations in Entrepreneurship
In this module, students will learn about the legal and ethical issues that entrepreneurs face. Topics include business structure, intellectual property, contracts, and regulatory compliance. The module also covers ethical decision-making and the importance of corporate social responsibility in entrepreneurship.

Module 9: Scaling and Growth Strategies
This module covers strategies for scaling a business and achieving sustainable growth. Students will learn about expanding into new markets, managing operational challenges, and securing additional funding. The module also explores the role of technology in scaling a business and the importance of maintaining a strong organizational culture during growth.

Module 10: Capstone Project
The capstone project allows students to apply the concepts and skills they have learned throughout the program. Students will develop a business plan for a new venture, including market analysis, financial projections, and a go-to-market strategy. They will present their plan to a panel of experts and receive feedback on their business idea.
