You should normally hold a good honours degree in any subject, or a professional qualification deemed to be of equivalent standing.

Or

Significant management experience and a substantial record of achievement. Candidates meeting this criteria may not have previously studied at university.

In addition to graduate status, part-time students will be expected to have a level of work experience. The evidence will be assessed on an individual basis and should be supported by employer references.

Students should produce copies of certificates, full CVs preferably in EuroFormat, and passport-size photos.

Module 1: Introduction to Healthcare Management

Topics include quality improvement techniques, patient safety, and accreditation processes. The module emphasizes the importance of maintaining high standards of care and operational efficiency.

Module 3: Strategic Planning and Leadership in Healthcare
This module focuses on strategic planning and leadership within the healthcare sector. Students will learn about strategic management frameworks, leadership styles, and change management in healthcare settings. The module covers how to develop and implement strategic plans to address healthcare challenges and improve organizational performance.

Module 4: Financial Management in Healthcare
Students will gain insights into the financial aspects of healthcare management, including budgeting, financial analysis, and reimbursement systems. Topics include cost control, revenue cycle management, and financial reporting. The module emphasizes the importance of financial planning and management for the sustainability of healthcare organizations.

Topics include recruitment and retention, staff development, performance management, and labor relations. Module 10: Capstone Project
The capstone project allows students to apply their knowledge and skills to a real-world healthcare management scenario. Students will develop and present a comprehensive management plan for a healthcare organization, including strategic, operational, financial, and leadership components. The project will be reviewed and evaluated by a panel of experts.
