You should normally hold a good honours degree in any subject, or a professional qualification deemed to be of equivalent standing.

Or

Significant management experience and a substantial record of achievement. Candidates meeting this criteria may not have previously studied at university.

In addition to graduate status, part-time students will be expected to have a level of work experience. The evidence will be assessed on an individual basis and should be supported by employer references.

Students should produce copies of certificates, full CVs preferably in EuroFormat, and passport-size photos.

Module 1: Introduction to Supply Chain Management
This module provides an overview of supply chain management (SCM) principles and practices. Module 2: Logistics and Transportation Management
Students will explore logistics and transportation management, focusing on the movement of goods and materials. Topics include transportation modes, logistics planning, route optimization, and managing logistics operations. The module emphasizes the importance of efficient transportation in supply chain effectiveness.

Module 3: Procurement and Supplier Management
This module covers procurement processes and supplier management strategies. Students will learn about sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and relationship management. Topics include managing supplier performance, risk assessment, and developing strategic supplier partnerships.

Module 4: Inventory Management
Students will gain insights into inventory management practices, including inventory control techniques and systems. Topics include inventory types, stock control, demand forecasting, and managing inventory levels. The module emphasizes balancing inventory costs with service levels to optimize supply chain performance.

Module 5: Supply Chain Strategy and Planning
This module focuses on developing and implementing supply chain strategies and plans. Students will learn about strategic planning processes, supply chain network design, and aligning supply chain strategies with business goals. Topics include demand planning, capacity planning, and scenario analysis.

Module 6: Warehousing and Distribution Management
Students will explore warehousing and distribution management practices, including warehouse operations, layout design, and inventory handling. Topics include distribution strategies, order fulfillment, and managing warehousing costs. The module emphasizes efficient warehouse and distribution processes to support supply chain operations.

Module 7: Supply Chain Analytics and Technology
This module covers the use of analytics and technology in supply chain management. Students will learn about data analysis, supply chain modeling, and technology tools such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and supply chain management software. Topics include leveraging technology to improve supply chain visibility and decision-making.

Module 8: Risk Management in Supply Chain
Students will examine risk management strategies for supply chain operations. Topics include identifying supply chain risks, assessing their impact, and developing risk mitigation plans. The module covers strategies for managing disruptions, including contingency planning and resilience building.

Module 9: Sustainability and Ethical Practices in Supply Chain
This module focuses on sustainability and ethical considerations in supply chain management. Students will learn about sustainable supply chain practices, environmental impact, and ethical sourcing. Topics include corporate social responsibility, green logistics, and implementing sustainable practices.

Module 10: Capstone Project
The capstone project allows students to apply their supply chain management and logistics knowledge to a real-world scenario. Students will develop and present a comprehensive supply chain management plan, including strategies for procurement, logistics, inventory management, and risk management. The project will be reviewed and evaluated by a panel of experts.
